Breaking news to kick off with…. We have a new franchise partner!

Michael will be joining us in our September training and launch schedule. Michael will own the Willesden territory in North London & we are extremely excited that he will be joining the My Window Cleaner team.

As Michael still has a full time role, we have been helping him by collecting his van & taking it to Liverpool for the Reach & Wash system to be installed. The Ford Custom Transit looks great with the branding on and leaves plenty of room inside for a jet-wash, gutter-vac and all the traditional equipment.

Michael’s flights and hotel have been booked (we hold the classroom training in Marbella, Spain) & his corporate clothing, stationery and marketing materials are all ordered. He really enjoyed spending time with our team in London and will be visiting our other franchise partners as part o the build up to his launch. We will keep you updated with Michaels’ launch and progress.

British Franchise Association Annual Conference

In other news, I attended the British Franchise Association’s annual conference at the NEC. The two-day event is only open to professional franchisors & associates that are members of the BFA. This was my 22nd annual conference and I found it just as useful and informative as previous ones.

The main point of discussion was around Brexit (surprise!) & how it is or potentially will be affecting businesses & the franchise industry as a whole. With My Window Cleaner being 23 years old, we have seen most things, but obviously Brexit is a one-off.

The good news is, even though our business has been through multiple recessions, we are pretty bullet proof as a business.

Whilst this is on our radar, we are forging ahead and believe that our business and that of our franchise partners will continue to flourish and grow. Everyone needs his or her windows cleaned, whether we are in the EU or not!

Customer facing video

Our recent videos have been well received. Adding this to the customer facing website has been extremely useful and really separates us from the competition. If you were a potential customer and compared the My Window Cleaner website with others in your area, surely you would choose MWC?

In addition, we drive traffic to the website & the franchisees own home page using SEO, which in turn makes up a good proportion of new customers for our franchise partners.

Our franchise partners continue to do well and grow at a rate of knots. Last week Alan won 19 new customers and recently just missed out on his first £2,000 turnover week. He is determined to get there soon! Alan has also taken on his first member of staff and will be operating the two-man reach and wash system from his van.

Josh in Bournemouth has had his best period since he started. I recently spent some time with Josh and his canvasser, who also happens to be his mum! Valda is excellent and as you would imagine, very passionate about her sons business & wins him lots of new customers. Here are a few other reasons why My Window Cleaner is successful : -

I hope you have a great summer and please feel free to contact me at anytime. If you are going away, have a wonderful time.

Best wishes,

Ian
